Rip City Glasses
I love it when readers send me content to share on this blog so I was excited to hear about this project from some Portland natives.
Tim Weakland and his colleague Robert Perez, created illustrations of the 2013-14 Portalnd Trailblazers starting 5. These designs were then printed on individual pint glasses and given out to every fan in attendance at one of their home games.
As Tim explained it to me, the glasses were an homage to glasses that the team put out in the early '90s in cooperation with local Dairy Queen stores. He collected them as a kid (and still has them to this day) so he took great pride in working on this project.
